Remodeled H-E-B official ribbon cutting
HARLINGEN, TEXAS (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — The newly remodeled H-E-B in Harlingen held their official ribbon cutting October 4th.
During the celebration, H-E-B awarded 85-hundred dollars to four non profit organizations in Harlingen, including the public library and the Harlingen Cisd.
The newly remodeled H-E-B has a large produce department, a bakery, and an expanded floral department.
"They have invested in our school district. They presented us with a check of 8500$ and that will be used to enhance our early literacy program and bring technology devices into the classroom to enhance what's happening already in our classes."
"You know it really has opened up for us to be able to hire additional folks. I mean the additional size of the store just really means that we're able to offer a better store for the community and at the same time, really employ and support more folks in the industry."
Today's celebration also acknowledged the 85th anniversary of H-E-B serving the Rio Grande Valley.
