EDINBURG, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — OSHA has cited Ecorec Rio Grande Valley for alleged safety violations after a Labor Department investigation.

Ecorec is a recycling company, located on Monte Cristo Road, in Edinburg, and OSHA has cited the company with seventeen violations from exposing workers to amputation hazards while operating bailing machines.

The citations follow a five month investigation and Ecorec has fifteen days to respond to the charges or face a fine of almost $75,000.
