Economists report early signs of small business recovery.

Small businesses typically account for most job creation, but have been slow to add jobs since the recession really hit.

Now it seems they're feeling better and the government is trying to do what it can to keep that optimism flowing.

On Thursday the U.S. Export-Import bank announced a new initiative to help 5,000 small businesses grow internationally.

It's part of President Obama's goal to double U.S. exports by 2014.

There are signs small businesses are finding the future a bit brighter.

According to recent surveys more than half of small businesses plan to add employees this year, and the percentage of firms expecting more sales was the highest it's been in more than three years.
