Federal officials at a Brownsville port of entry seized a Ball Python snake after the owner failed to show proper documentation.

Officers with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection working the Veteran's International bridge found the foot and a half long python in a n aquarium in the front seat of the vehicle. The driver told officers the snake was his pet, but after lacking the required entry documentation, officers seized it and turned it over to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
