Security cameras pay off after pet is stolen.

A Middletown, Ohio woman helped police catch three people who stole her granddaughter's favorite puppy.

Donna Fox said she returned home to find the pup, Ava, missing from her litter.

"I fed them before I left, so I counted them," Fox said. "I always count them. I had eight of them, so we looked in the garage and around, thinking she was just hiding."

Fox said she rewound video from the surveillance cameras she had recently set up outside her home and saw the thieves.

She also captured their car on tape, as well, and police arrested Sean Adner, Kelli McNutt and Charles Graham.

The puppy was given to a family in Springfield, and Fox said the family seemed like a perfect fit, so she sold Ava to them.
