Public invited to decide names for Gladys Porter Zoo Komoda Dragons

The Gladys Porter Zoo is announcing the addition of two new dragons to its reptile collection.

The pair of young females are in need of names; and we are asking for the public to help us decide what to name the newcomers.

The zoo staff has selected several female Indonesian names. The two most popular names selected will be given to these exotic creatures. Everyone is invited to submit their votes at www.gpz.org. The names with meanings are listed below.

Nadira - rare
Zahra- shining, luminous girl
Diah – teenage girl
Aulia - leader, spirit, angel, friend
Nanda - joyful
Ora - dragon
Wulan - moon
Sinta- chastity

After voting, everyone that submits their email address will have a chance to win a family membership. Only two lucky voters will win. On November 6th voting will end, names will be announced and winners will be drawn. Good luck to all participants!
