Several Valley organizations rallied early Friday morning in PSJA demanding that the state keep their schools open.

People gathered outside of PSJA high school to protest looming state budget cuts in education  and called the rally the Open the Rainy Day Umbrella. Organizers say the State of Texas is not broke and politicians should open up the $9 billion dollar rainy day fund in order to stop education cuts. The rally was one of many taking place this week around the state and students joined the protest to support their teachers.
