Progress Made Against Texas Fires
Huge wildfire burning near Austin now 30-percent contained.
The fight to contain dozens of wildfires burning across parts of Texas continues for a third day.
At least a thousand homes have been destroyed and more than 100,000 acres burned in one of the worst outbreaks of wildfires to hit the Lone Star state in more than a decade.
After days of fighting and with a little help from Mother Nature fire crews are slowly gaining ground.
On Tuesday, with winds calming, firefighters advanced into the charred landscape and set their own fires, back-burns designed to starve-off the hungry blaze.
More than 5,000 people were forced to flee the flames.
Many are now living in shelters.
At least four people have been killed by the fires.
