The punishment for Primera Police Chief Joe Rodriguez for sending pornographic images from his issued cell phone to a Cameron county constable was decided Tuesday evening.

City Manager Javier Mendez says Police Chief Rodriguez will be on leave without pay for a full week and then be place on probation for six months. NewsCenter 23 did learn that Chief Rodriguez was terminated from the Rio Hondo I.S.D. following a porn investigation on school computers, as a police officer, back in 2007.
