President Obama Speaks on Immigration in El Paso, Texas
President Obama was on the border on Tuesday afternoon as he flew in from Washington D.C. to El Paso, Texas to deliver a speech on immigration and border policy reform.
The president stated that there are 11 million undocumented immigrants in our country right now, a consequence of what he calls a broken immigration system. He also stated that the border has been secured and now wants employers, who exploit workers, to be held accountable. He says those individuals, living here illegally, must also be held accountable as well by admitting they broke the law, pay their taxes, pay a fine and learn English.
