President Obama Pushing Congress to Pass Job Act

President Obama was pushing Congress again on Monday to pass his jobs act as he spoke in the Rose Garden, outside the White House, asking Congress to pass his $447 billion dollar jobs plan.

The president's plan includes hiring workers for construction projects and giving businesses a $4,000 dollar tax credit, if they hire people who've been looking for a job for more than six months. We spoke with Brownsville resident Philip Gawenda and he stated, "I think its great he's going out and rallying the American people and he's trying to get them to make the decision for the nation and get after the Congressman who are not going to pass it. It's a great plan he's not going to spending more money going to move money around to pay for it but the bottom line it's a temporary fix and looks to me like a campaign ploy."

The president is going to try to sell his plan directly to the people beginning with a stop at Speaker Boehner's home state of Ohio.
