Mission Police are searching for three suspects wanted in an armed home invasion early this morning.

It happened just before 2 a.m. this morning on the 3300 block of Anita Street at an apartment complex.

Mission Police spokesperson Sgt. Manny Casas tells Newscenter 23 that three men wearing ski masks kicked in the door holding guns and demanding money.

The victim was hit in the face with the gun when he refused to give the suspects any money.  His injuries required stitches, so he was taken to an area hospital for treatment.  No one else at the apartment was hurt.

"In the house was a female related to the victim with her two small children," said Sgt. Casas.  "They left them alone.  They decided to take the lady's purse and they left.  We have reason to believe that there was possibly a vehicle waiting for them outside behind the apartment complex."

The victim described the suspects as being heavy-set men of average height.  These men are considered armed and dangerous, so Casas urges the public to call the police if you encounter these men.

If you have any information about this case, you are asked to call Mission Crime Stoppers at (956) 581-8477.
