Police say 15-Month old abused by boyfriend.

Brownsville Police say that a 20 year old undocumented immigrant physically abused a 15-month Brownsville girl. A toddler is in critical condition with several broken bones after police say Luis Espinoza abused this girl in a brutal way. Friday afternoon police responded to a trailer off Iowa street. 20 year old Luis Esponiza of Mexico was taking care of a 15-month girl. The girl belongs to his girlfriend. He called 911 after he says the 15-month old girl fell and hit her head. While police were on their way he began administrating CPR after he says she went unresponsive. After investigation police say this no was accident.
"After examining visually and with X-rays at the hospital it was determined that the child had extensive physical abuse."
Espinoza is charged with injury to a child after police say serious injuries where shown on the toddler.
"She had internal organs damaged, collapsed lungs from the broken ribs, had damage to her pancreas, this also indicates that she was hit very violently by the individual."
Espinoza was given a $50,000 bond. Brownsville police say he remains in the Cameron County Jail.
