New details have been released in the package bombing that took place at a home on Resaca Vista Drive on January 11th injuring three people, Matt Fernandez brings us the details on the released incident report done by police investigators.

According to the narrative, the homeowner's son and wife were getting ready to drop their daughter off at school and when exiting the house they saw a package at the door entrance in a FedEx box. The father brought the package into the house and when he opened the package it exploded. The grandfather reported hearing the explosion and went downstairs and seeing his granddaughter, son in flames and his daughter-in-law lying on the floor. The grandfather grabbed his granddaughter and put out the flames on her body and then called 911.

Family members informed investigators that they were not expecting any packages to be delivered and a second daughter, of the grandfather, informed police that her boyfriend had been over the night before and had not seen any package placed at the door as he left the home.

FedEx officials say the company did not deliver any package to the home the day before or that morning.
