WESLACO — A police officer for the Weslaco Police Department has resigned after being arrested and charged with DWI by a fellow officer. Police Chief Michael Kelley is not releasing the ex-officer's name and the incident occurred when the ex-officer was not on duty on Saturday evening and the case has been forwarded to the District Attorney's office.
