Police Continue Search for Bank Robber

Brownsville police are still on the lookout for a man they say demanded money at a downtown bank.

It happened on Tuesday at the Compass Bank on Elizabeth street between 6th and 7th street when the suspect handed a note to a teller and left with an undetermined amount of money. The suspect is described as 5'9" tall, around 170 lbs., blue eyes, mustache and a thin beard. In the bank, the suspect was seen wearing a khaki cap, ash gray shirt with a logo on the left side and blue jeans. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call 956.546.TIPS.
