MCALLEN — Police need the public's assistance in identifying a suspect in the robbery of  a Stripes store on Tuesday morning.

Police released images from a surveillance video showing the suspect entering the store with a machete and demanding money from the cashier. Police describe the suspect as being Hispanic, 5'8" tall, a medium build and several tattoos across his upper body. Anyone with information is asked to call the McAllen Crime Stoppers at 956.687.TIPS.
