Police asking for public's help in counterfeit money investigation

Harlingen police are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman involved in using a counterfeit bill at a local convenience store.

On September 8th at 1:20 a.m. a woman entered the Stripes store, located at 620 West Harrison Avenue, purchased a pack of cigarettes and paying for the item with a $100 bill which was determined to be counterfeit at a later date.

The woman was last seen leaving in a dark colored Grand Marquis with a male passenger. She is described as Hispanic, in her 20's, dark colored hair and wearing a pink Aerostle shirt and blue jeans.
