Police were cautioning residents of not firing guns into the air this New Year's eve because of the dangers of falling bullets.

Police had extra patrol units around the city looking for unlawful shooters which is against the law and could cost jail time and a fine. Sgt. Orlando Rodriguez says stray bullets have killed people in the past year and unfortunately someone seems to get hit by a stray bullet.
