Pet of the Week Segment:

"My name is Robert Dippong and I'm the supervisor for the Brownsville Animal Regulation and Care Center.

Well this is Lola, she's a Labrador mix. She's about eight weeks old and she's very very playful. Lola's gonna be a hyper dog, she'll probably be medium, twenty five to thirty five pounds, so she's gonna need a family, maybe some children, some young children to play with. She's a puppy so you know, she's gonna need a little bit of patience for you know, for the potty training and stuff like that, but she's very playful, very friendly and she gets along great with kids.

This is Ginger, she's a Chihuahua mix. She's about ten pounds and that's about as big as she's gonna get. She's about a year old so she's already past the potty training, the chewing on stuff, but you know, she's very friendly and very playful as well. I think she would be good in a family environment or with an older couple. You know, she does very good with children, she does really good with adults, so...

If you find an animal that you're interested in adopting, you'll go ahead and sit down with one of our animal care techs and we'll go ahead and explain the process."

The dogs cost $96 to adopt and that includes all their vaccinations, and spaying/neutering. To call the Brownsville Animal Regulation and Care Center to talk with one of their technicians about adopting, call 956-544-7351.
