The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Department has issued an arrest warrant of murder for a person of interest in the death of another man.

Investigators have charged Everett James Morris with murder in the beating death of Jorge Olivarez who's body was found in the area of Military Road and Cesar Chavez.

Morris was last seen in Reynosa, Mexico and believed to still be in that country and previously had done missionary work in Mexico and Central America.

Evidence seized at Morris' residence, located at 1216 Buchanan, in Pharr, is being analyzed after it was discovered that Olivarez had been a house guest of Morris for a short time.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office has asked the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to assist in finding and arresting Morris.
