Earth Day, it is intended to inspire awareness and appreciation for the earth's fragile environment.

Here in the Valley school children were learning first hand the importance of keeping our planet green. Students from Perez Elementary in Brownsville were busy planting trees and small plants on school grounds to celebrate Earth Day on Wednesday morning.

Home Depot donated about 50 plants and trees for this Green Celebration.
