Pearson Found Guilty on Intoxicated Manslaughter

In district court the Mendoza family and friends of the two victims killed very emotional as the verdict was read. 53 year old Edward James Pearson was found guilty on two counts of intoxication manslaughter. He's convicted of killing 16-year-old Yanely Mendoza and 20-year-old Yamily Mendoza in October 2008.
We caught up with the girl's father after the verdict.
"I feel really bad he took my two daughters from me."
Santo Mendoza Jr says he is happy they found him guilty and hopes he goes to jail for life.
We also talked with friends of 16 year old Yanely Mendoza.
"Yanley was always there for me she was always smiling she was never sad a nice girl."
"A great friend always doing her modeling moves singing we belong together."
"Yanley was a good friend missed her on graduation, I think about her all the time and all her friends who love her, a happy person so was her sister I will miss both of them so much."
Pearson's sentencing is scheduled for January. He could face 2 to 20 years in prison for his two manslaughter charges.
