HIDALGO COUNTY - Tech Prep and the Rio Grande Valley Partnership are teaming up for Job Shadow Day that allows students to get a glimpse into the workforce by shadowing professionals during a day of work.

The program is set up for public school students to better help them determine what field they would be interested in as a career. The program is a huge opportunity for the students and for those businesses involved as Tech Prep Executive Director Pat Bubb stated, "They are helping to grow their future work force, if they are worried about brain drain, saying oh are kids leaving, well they have the opportunity to tell the kids what is right here in the Valley for them."

Job shadow day will take place February 23rd and May 10th and any business that would like to get involved is urged to call Tech Prep in Harlingen.
