There seems to be an increase in men being accused of exposing themselves, around the Valley, Just Yesterday, a man was arrested in Harlingen for exposing himself to young children.
When you bring your kids to the park, you expect them to skin their knees, maybe even fall a few times, but you don't expect them to be exposed to something out of an X-rated movie.
A day of fun in Harlingen's Arroyo Park turned scary for one family.
Police say, Jesus Correra exposed himself and performed a sexual act, right in front of kids.
The children's mom immediately called police.
For parents like mother of four, Gloria Yupell, she says she's grossed out.
"We think in the parks we are safe, and we are not."
This mother say, something more needs to be done, so everyone's kids are safer.
"We need more police, and we need them here, I don't see police here in the parks," she says.
Father of three kids, Antonio Huerta says, parks are a place for fun, not perverts.
"Kids should have the opportunity to enjoy themselves, exercise, have fun, enjoy the weather even though it's hot, in the afternoons, without having to worry about incidents like that," he says.
Best friends, Nanette Salinas and Marlena Rivera say, they worry about coming to Arroyo Park now.
"It makes me not want to come back here."
"That's very disturbing, family members come to have a good time with their family."
This park isn't the only place where indecency is going on.
Officers arrested, registered sex offender, Martin Perez at a Mcdonald's, in Harlingen, earlier this week.
Police caught Perez, after a woman reported to them, that he sat next to her, and flashed her.
In both the park, and at Mcdonald's, speedy calls to cops, helped them nab the men so quickly.
Police say, especially during the summer months, it's extremely important that parents keep a good eye on their kids.
Sexual predators could be out, looking to take advantage.
