Four dead and several more wounded after train strikes float carrying U.S. Army veterans to parade.
At least four people are dead and more than a dozen others wounded in the wake of a tragic parade float accident in Midland, Texas.
The accident occurred when a float carrying Army veterans and their spouses was struck by an oncoming freight train as it crossed the tracks.
Many of those on board were able to leap to safety, but all weren't so lucky.
The veterans were on their way to a banquet honoring them for their recent service.
Five victims remain hospitalized, one of them in critical condition. Several others were treated and released.
