For some it's used as a running path, and for other's they call it a driving nightmare.

"It sucks and it's dangerous. Do you come here often? I try not to because of the construction it pretty much ruins everything."

Since late June Tex-Dot has been working on the Pablo Kisel exit and Frontage road.
The 1.1 million project runs from the Pablo Kisel up to Frontage and Alton Gloor where there is a mall and plenty of businesses and restuarants.
A Tex-Dot spokesperson says the two outside lanes were so heavily used they needed to tear them up and reconstruct them.

Visible Impression Hair Studio says the construction outside is affecting their business inside.

Their business is located on Frontage were all the construction and congestion is taking place.

"Walk ins it's really hurting us, some people see all the construction and just pass by us and they rather not stop and it's affecting us."

Vasquez says on a good day that would see around 7 walk-ins without this construction, now they are only seeing 1 to 2.
Everyone is hoping for a fast completion.

"Hurry up please work faster because we rely on our customers and all clients are seeing that and rather not stop by."

Tex-Dot says they hope to start paving on the next couple weeks and complete it by the end of August.
