Overnight Shooting In Brownsville

A man wanted for stealing an armored truck is found in Mexico and Brownsville investigators believe he may have been involved in a recent shooting. Brownsville authorities are working to extradite the suspect back to the US.
Police say that Hector Garza is wanted for holding up a woman, and stealing that van and a quarter million dollars back in February. He also may be linked a shooting outside a Brownsville apartment complex.
Jesse Marfilieno who did not want to show his face was in his Dodge Durango early Wednesday morning. It was shot at several times.
The events that led up to the shooting started at a Brownsville night club. There, two women got into an argument. police believe it was gang related.
After the club closed one of females, got in Marfilieno's Durgano with her boyfriend Daniel Morales, who is also Marfilieno's cousin.
When they left they were followed by a black mustang to an apartment complex off gilson road.
At the crime scene several gunshots were fired.
One of the bullets hit Morales in the upper leg.
Police were notified to be on the lookout for that black Mustang. When they spotted it, a pursuit led police to the Veterans bridge. That's where the driver crossed the border illegally. They were detained by Mexican authorities. The person in the Mustang has been identified as Hector Garza.
He is currently in Mexican custody charged with illegal crossing and having extra ammunition in the car.
Authorities are working on extraditing him back to US. Then Garza will be brought in and charged for the armed robbery. He will also be questioned for the shooting of Morales. Currently Morales is out the hospital and doing ok.
