U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized over $500,000 in cocaine at a port of entry.

Custom officers working the Gateway International Bridge, on June 18, came into contact with 2004 red Pontiac Grand Prix driven by a man from Matamoros, Mexico.

The vehicle and the driver were sent to a secondary inspection where officers found six packages, within the rear bumper, of suspected cocaine weighing over 18 pounds.

Agents seized the vehicle and the packages of cocaine which is estimated to be valued over half a million in dollars.
