Operation Lone Star to offer free services in the Valley

Operation Lone Star is an annual project that brings free medical and dental services to residents of the Texas Mexico border region.

Some of the services provided will include immunizations for kids, diabetes and blood pressure screenings, and hearing and vision exams.

Some of the sites will include Manzano Middle School in Brownsville, PSJA High School in San Juan and Washington Middle School in Laredo.

All clinics will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. For more information, call the local health department or dial 2-1-1.

  • Mission: Palmview High School, 3901 N. La Homa Road
  • Rio Grande City: Ringgold Middle School, 1 S. Fort Ringgold
  • San Juan: PSJA High School, 805 West Ridge Road
