Operation Cloud results in warrants being issued for noncomplying sex offenders
HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — The Harlingen Police Department, performing compliance checks on sex offenders, have issued warrants for those individuals who failed to comply with the Offender Registration Program.
From November 2013 through January 2014 the Harlingen PD, along with the U.S. Marshals Service, conducted "Operation Cloud" which was established to following up on compliance checks for the 170 registered sex offenders living within the City of Harlingen.
Of the 170 individuals, authorities discovered three were not in compliance and warrants were issued for those people.
