Operation Bishop investigators raided a arcade netting in the arrest of patrons, managers and seizing 28 eight-liners on Thursday night.

The arcade, located at 845 North Expressway 77, was raided by police and D.A. investigators last night. The establishment had no exterior signage and was reportedly paying illegal amounts of cash to its patrons.

The property owner remains under investigation and those individuals arrested were charged with various gambling offenses. District Attorney Luis V. Saenz stated, "The eight-liner industry in Cameron County and its patrons have been aware of Operation Bishop for months. Yet, this establishment remained open with frequent customers. If you blatantly break the law, you will be arrested, and your property will be seized."
