One suspect caught, One At Large In Weslaco Stripes Robbery

WESLACO -  One arrest has been made and another is expected in a robbery earlier this month at a Convenience Store in Weslaco. Police yesterday picked up 19 Year old Ricardo Ramirez and charged him with aggravated robbery. Ramirez remains in the Hidalgo County Jail. Police continue to look for a second suspect. Described as a Hispanic male about 20 years old. He was wearing a black-hooded sweater and sunglasses at the time of the robbery. The pair reportedly threatened a cashier with a knife and then took cash cigarettes and cases of beer from a Stripes Convenience Store in the early morning hours of March 10th.
