On The Road Again

Monday, October 24, 2011 - 5:29am

President Obama hits the road with a new slogan.

The 2012 Presidential Election will likely turn on the economy, and this week, it's the focus of the President and those who want his job.

While the GOP candidates are criticizing the president, President Obama will be mixing it up with Republicans on Capitol Hill.

The President is daring Congressional Republicans to stand in the way of his jobs bill, and they're doing exactly that,

Republican Presidential candidates spent much of the weekend criticizing the President’s plan to remove troops from Iraq. "That's just bad public policy," said Republican Presidential Candidate, Governor Rick Perry.

"It was more politically based than military based," said Republican Presidential Candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann.

The Republican Presidential Candidates now plan to pivot back to concerns closer to home.

This week, Rick Perry is set to unveil his plan for to grow jobs and the economy - an attempt to get the spotlight from Herman Cain's 9-9-9- plan. "This economy cannot wait -- it is on life support. We need a bold solution." said Republican Presidential Candidate, Herman Cain.

Meanwhile, President Obama is hitting the road again today.

He is heading out west to raise campaign cash - but also to unveil a new slogan: We Can't Wait.

In Las Vegas, ground zero of the housing crisis, he's expected to tell Congress "We Can't Wait."

He's trying to turn up the heat on Republicans who've stalled his jobs plan in the senate.

Along with the slogan, the President is expected to unveil new policies to help people struggling with mortgages and student loans.
