Albuquerque, New Mexico — (KOB) A massive protest against the Albuquerque Police Department stretched late into the night on Sunday.
Several hundred people marched throughout the day in downtown Albuquerque to protest several recent police-involved shootings.
Protesters say officers murdered a man in the foothills two weeks ago.
James Boyd was killed after a confrontation with police in the foothills on March 16.
Protesters climbed on top of everything from light poles to a Nob Hill police sub station.
Vandalism was also seen throughout the area. Protesters also tried to overtake I-25, but the area was quickly cleared when officers in riot gear deployed tear gas.
