Obamacare phone ops rely on website for transactions
President Obama and supporters of Obamacare have encouraged Americans frustrated by the glitchy healthcare.gov website to apply for coverage over the phone.
But that doesn't appear to be much of a solution, according to meeting notes released on Monday by Republican investigators on Capitol Hill.
According to the notes, it turns out the phone operators rely on the website to push through transactions.
Meanwhile, healthcare.gov performance has improved, but problems continue and a notice on the site says it will be down between 1 a.m. (Eastern) every night as contractors work to improve its performance.
