The International non-profit organization Feed the Children is down here in the Valley. They are providing food, hygiene products, and other necessities for 400 families in Cameron county.
The Good Neighbor Settlement House and call center company Teleperformance have provided volunteers to help pass out the boxes.

"We have so much need, and the families are economically challenged because of the lack of jobs and or underemployment, the need is here and so we were very glad that Feed the Children reached out to us and we are able to identify 400 families so they could receive some help."said Good Neighbor Executive Director Leo Rosales.

Francisco Ochoa and his family are taking advantage of this great giveaway.

"It’s a good program, this is going to help my family." said Ochoa.

Today Teleperformance had about 20 employees volunteering to help give out the boxes. All the employees from the company also pitched in a portion of their salary to pay for the truck to get down here from Houston.

"This is a very important day, it’s been about 3 or 4 months in planning to make this happen."said Pat Corrigan with Teleperformance.
