There are a few more laws taking effect on Tuesday and here is a list of some new laws.

House Bill 339 prohibits teens under 18 years of age from texting or talking on a cell phone while driving.

House Bill 358 allows law enforcement officers to store only the computer chips in gambling machines that are seized, while right now they store the whole machine.

Another important law requires any child younger than 8 years-old be in a approved child safety seat system when riding in a car. The exception comes when the child is taller than 4'9" and any violation will cost from $25 dollars for the first offense and no more than $250 dollars for a second offense.
