Teenagers caught in sending nude pictures to other teens will on longer face the same consequences as adults caught with child pornography.

The new law lowers the charge for teens caught sexting the first time to a Class A misdemeanor. The law also protects children who receive pictures and delete them without sending them to anyone else. The law doesn't apply to minors in dating relationships or to spouses.
