New Emergency Station to be Built on South Padre Island

Ground was broken for a state of the art emergency services station on South Padre Island as city officials attended the ceremony.

The station will be 18,000 square feet and be three stories high and will house firefighters and beach patrol personnel. A total of 28 employees will work in the building which should be completed by next year.
