This was the scene Saturday around 5pm. Ambulances and the Fire Department rushed to the entertainment district after a 19 foot fishing boat and a jet ski driven by a 17 year old with his 13 year old brother in the back collided on the Laguana Madre.

"The boy was coming out of his circles he was shooting out in the path of the boat and the boat collided and the boat went over the top, one of the boys was able to jump to the side, the deceased was pinned between the jetski and the boat."

The Game Warden says the jetski's were rented by the boy's father. They rented two jetski. When they left the dock each of the brothers were on the jetksi with an adult, but while on the water they swapped putting the 13 year old and 17 year old on the same jetski. The two adults together on the other one. The game warden says the 17 year old by law if driving is required to take a boat education course which he did not take.

Monday at Stell Middle School a sign reads *Gone but not forgotten, our warrior Joshua Alvarez*. Alvarez was the 13 year old killed on the water. The school has grief counselors on hand for the students.

"Back on the water jetski operators cannot stress enough the importance of safety, especially following the fatal death of 13 year old."

"My thoughts go out the family and the company."

Captain Tin Flores who works at Parrot Eyes has been jetski'ing for a long time
and offers these safety times.

'"Defiantly take that boats education course its going to teach you a lot. act if your on the street if your on a skateboard or bike you need to look over your shoulder and make sure cars are not coming you need to do the same thing."

As for the fatal crash the Game warden is still investigating.
