SULLIVAN CITY - The hiring and firing procedures and policies of the a Sullivan City Police Department are being called into question. Sullivan City Interim Chief Daniel Duran confirms one of their current officers was the target of a cocaine use investigation earlier this year. We received those internal investigation documents from an anonymous source. The documents outline a closed investigation of a current officer. 

Because this is a personnel matter and because this case could come under further police department review, News Center 23 has for now decided not to disclose the name of the officer in question.

But the internal investigation papers show the officer in question was investigated in March for "appearing intoxicated in a public place" and "illegal drug use."
