New Border Patrol Station to be Built in Kingsville
There was a groundbreaking ceremony in Kingsville for a new U.S. Border Patrol station to be built and operating by 2013.
The new station will be in charge of nearly 2,000 square miles in Kennedy and Kleberg counties and the checkpoint located in Sarita, Texas. The new facility will be nearly 88,000 square feet and is being built on 63 acres of land. The station is expected to be completed by sometime in 2013 with an estimated cost of nearly $30 million dollars.
