National Guard Helicopters to Assist in Patrolling of Border

HARLINGEN — The U.S. Army National Guard is stationing helicopters at the Harlingen Airport for the next several months to assist the Border Patrol department.
The helicopters will be used to assist agents in aerial surveillance as they patrol the borders in the Valley. The mission will be directed by the Department of Homeland Security and several National Guard troops will be stationed at the airport for support in the operation.
