Nancy Pelosi and members of Texas Delegation to discuss surge of unaccompanied children
WASHINGTON D.C. — Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Members of the Texas Delegation will hold a photo opportunity with brief remarks at the top of a meeting at 12:00 p.m. E.T., with officials from the Rio Grande Valley and the Brownsville office of Catholic Charities to discuss the surge in unaccompanied children crossing our southern border, the urgency of enacting President Obama’s supplemental funding request, and the harmful efforts of House Republicans to militarize the border and weaken due process and other protections for unaccompanied children.
