Two men accused of beating and killing a Harlingen woman in February went before a judge on Tuesday.
The hearing is part of the process of preparing for the trial of Marcos Barrientos and Jose Trevino. They face charges of murder in the death of Rose Marie Gonzalez in February and the judge set their bonds at $750,000 dollars each.
Harlingen police found the body of Gonzalez stuffed in a refrigerator inside her home. Police say Barrientos and Trevino are two of four people who killed Gonzalez. The District Attorney's Office says all four are responsible for the beating death of Gonzalez who was also sexually assaulted. In March a 14 year-old pleaded guilty to the crime and was sentenced to 40 years behind bars for the crime.
