Murder leaves family in shock
Friends and family cope with slaying of Boston Bandits player Odin Lloyd.
(WHDH) The body of a semi-professional football player was found in an industrial area of North Attleboro, Massachusetts Monday.
A family member confirmed that the body found is 27-year-old Odin Lloyd.
Lloyd's family said they last saw him Sunday night, the day before the body was found in an industrial area in North Attleboro, which is about a mile from the home of New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.
Llyod's mother spoke on the steps of the Dorchester family home.
"My son is a wonderful child. He's a family guy, he has not done anything to hurt anyone," said his mother, Ursula Ward. "First and foremost I would like to thank the person that found my son. I would like to say God put him in the right place at the right time."
Police are questioning Hernandez in this case.
The family is not making any connections between Lloyd and Hernandez and they said they have not heard from him.
