Police arrested two Brownsville women Friday Night at Sears.
Police say 23 year old Veronica Arredondo and 27 year old Virginia Vargas were caught shoplifting from several different department stores including Dillards and Sears.

"The loss prevention officer was the one that detained them and then called PD."said Brownsville Police spokesperson Jose Trevino.

Police say the women had their children, a 2 year old, a 5 year old, and 3 month old with them during the crimes.

Police say the two women would go in the dressing rooms with items from the stores. They would hide it under the children in the strollers, and then walk out without paying.

"I don't think they knew there is a camera watching you all the time, and if you go into a dressing room with property and you come out with nothing obviously that is going raise red flags."said Trevino.

Police say when the thieves were caught, police obtained consent to search the suspect’s car. Inside they found close to $900 dollars of stolen clothes.
Vargas and Arrendondo were given an $8,000 dollar bond.
