BROWNSVILLE - Maria Elizabeth Perez-Mata is facing two charges of child endangerment after her 6 year-old son drowned and her 2 year-old daughter is in critical condition.

Both children were pulled out of the pond by bystanders and after police arrived and investigated the situation they arrested the mother of children. Brownsville Police Department spokesperson J.J. Trevino stated that parents must keep an eye on their children, "Parents need to be aware exactly where your children are, they need to be supervised at all times. In this case, these kids were minors. If anything happens to your kids, while they're not being supervised, these are the consequences, you can get arrested for child endangerment."

The case is still under investigation.

Its governments Fault for letting this women have so many kids and for giving them alot of preblegs with the food stamps thats why they have to many kids if the government would make them work so they could eat this would of not happen of them having so many kids and they would be able to pay attention to them so I think that she sould stay in jail and CPS would start doing thier work insted of them trying to give them chanses they should just take thier kids away
