A man wanted on two charges of attempted murder in California was extradited into the U.S. on Tuesday in Brownsville.

Emigdio Preciado Jr. who also goes by Junior, Trigger, Spooky and Snyper is a suspected gang member who deputies accuse of shooting at California sheriff deputies back in September of 2000. He is accused of opening fire on deputies, who pulled over a van that he was a passenger in, for a traffic violation. Preciado shot 21 rounds of bullets from a machine gun and wounded one deputy in the forehead who survived. He was listed on the Most Wanted list by the FBI agency and was arrested in Mexico in July of 2009. He has remained in a Mexican prison until his extradition on Tuesday.
